Speaking

Tired of being told "there's someone for everyone" and when you seek advice about finding a partner being told you should lose weight, get a makeover, and be "less picky"?

Annoyed with the knowledge that you are eating well and moving your body, but people keep describing you as unhealthy because of your size? Happy to be single but sick of the single-shaming?

Most of us don't recognize that thinness and light skin have BOTH been historically connected to warped notions about health, and having the best chance of experiencing a passionate love affair, and everlasting joy. But slender ≠ healthy, and romance is a poor recipe for a fulfilling long-term partnership.

My writing and speaking can help you understand these relationships, and heal from these debilitating Western expectations, to find a sense of health, self worth, and love that begins within.

I once was criticized by a student for my class being "too fun"! He feared joy and learning were incompatible. Not the way I teach.

I am an award-winning teacher, and my students routinely identify my classes as their favorite. They often tell me they wish they'd known this information before, or wish they could know more. Students tell me my course helped them open their mind to new perspectives, made them more compassionate, more disciplined, or even fundamentally changed their view of the world. They email me months and years later to thank me and tell me they recommend my books and classes to their friends and family.

Book a speaking engagement to experience an engaging and thought-provoking talk on the fallacy of "obesity," and how romance and pornography each work to undermine loving relationships.
