Get to know Sabrina Strings

I was born to be a writer, teacher, and public speaker.

This business evolved out of my passion for writing and teaching. I have a BA in Psychology with High Honors from UC Berkeley, a PhD in Sociology from UC San Diego, and completed the prestigious UC Chancellor's Postdoctoral Fellowship in Public Health and Sociology at UC Berkeley. I have been a professor on the tenure track for 10 years, accelerating from Assistant Professor to Full Professor in a mere 8 years.

I've been told countless times, "I wish more people had access to this information!" Now they can.

WHO IS SABRINA STRINGS

I am a born nerd and chatterbox. When I was five years old, my parents bought me my first desk, to have a solid foundation for writing the little stories I'd conjure and pass to them. I have always loved writing, learning, and testifying to others about what I know.

I have wanted to make a difference in the world ever since I saw the Godzilla movie where he kills Bambi as a small child. I knew I was the type of person working to confront, challenge, and ultimately transform "godzilla energy" into something that would not threaten or crush the vulnerable. We have to confront our culture's monsters--those creating pain and suffering--and transform them with love and respect. We do this by first embodying the love and respect we want to see in the world.

I have always been a writer. First of diaries, then of short stories. Now histories. I love trying to think through ways to communicate the things I’ve learned to others, and lighten their load with a little bit of humor.

I love tennis. I mean I am one of the best people you’ve ever seen at watching it. The NFL is a guilty pleasure. I was raised on soul music. And, don’t tell anybody, but I am a full-on grunge girlie.

I was born in Los Angeles in the late 20th century. And since time travel is real, one day I’m going back there.
